Matt Riddle wants Pete Dunne back
NXT star Matt Riddle wants former partner Pete Dunne to return after the breakup with Timothy Thatcher.
He tweeted “I feel used and abused Crying face, I just want Stallion @PeteDunneYxB back and things to go back to normal #sadbro.”
Riddle and his temporary partner Timothy Thatcher lost the NXT Tag Team titles to Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel of Imperium.
A move from Riddle tossed one of the Imperium members at Thatcher, and that was it. Thatcher left Riddle to defend himself all alone in the tag match and ended up losing it.
Riddle then chased down Thatcher backstage and a brawl broke out. The pair then faced off in the main event of this week’s NXT with Thatcher almost ripping Riddle’s arm off.
Dunne and Riddle formed one of the most unlikeliest tag teams in recent memory. The pair are complete opposites but ended up winning the NXT tag titles and defending it several times too.
However, Dunne is stuck due to the coronavirus and hasn’t been able to help his friend out. That saw Thatcher come into the picture as an interim champion, but it didn’t work out all too well for Riddle.
The Original Bro might have picked up the win last week in the singles match, but had to pay a price for it.
It will be interesting to see if Thatcher vs Riddle continues in the coming weeks. This is a rivalry we can all get behind and hopefully, Dunne also returns soon to solve the Bro’s problems.
