Sami Zayn mocked the announcement of Brock Lesnar suspension being lifted
Sami Zayn on won the Royal Battle to earn a shot at the Universal Championship on SmackDown. However, the star’s limelight was all taken away by the news of Brock Lesnar suspension being lifted.
Zayn eliminated The Charismatic Enigma, Jeff Hardy, to earn the right to challenge Universal Champion Roman Reigns. However, all the focus was quickly taken away from him.
Following his win, Kayla Braxton announced that Lesnar’s suspension has been lifted and he’ll be returning to the action next week. And the fans went crazy after hearing the news and he became the talking point of Smackdown from that very moment.
Zayn on “Talking Smack” said that he is not impressed with the news but also said that he won’t let Lesnar get in his way.
“What a way to go off the air; Sami Zayn gets one of the biggest wins of his career. But, instead of going off on a career highlight for a generational talent, like Sami Zayn. Who has been oppressed, who has been marginalized and been cast aside for months, years, conveniently, we find air time to make the blockbuster announcement for Brock Lesnar’s return.”
“As if Brock Lesnar hasn’t had enough television time. He needs to step on my moment? Every week, I keep saying how there’s a conspiracy against me. I don’t even need to say anything anymore because it is clear as day to anybody these deliberate attacks on Sami. But it’s fine. I need to focus because I’m now next in line for Roman Reigns and the Universal Championship.”
Roman Reigns was also not happy with the news
When Kayla Braxton was announcing something about Lesnar – the WWE champion Reigns interrupted her. There was a recap of Roman’s match from Survivor Series, and as soon as it was finished Heyman took the mic and said that the champion did not care about mere rumors about Brock.

The Tribal Chief then called everyone else in WWE losers, with Brock being the No.1 loser. Reigns also said that he beat Brock, Big E, and the rest of the locker room and even made fun of Battle Royal that would decide who he will face next for the Championship match.

Eventually, Sami Zayn won that Battle Royal and his focus was also taken away thanks to the announcement of Lesnar’s return.
