Sami Zayn promises action after “injustice” at losing title to Big E on SmackDown

Sami Zayn lost his Intercontinental title to Big E on SmackDown

If you already saw he leaked results of his week’s Christmas day episode of WWE SmackDown, you probably knew that Big E was going to win the title against Sami Zayn.

However, knowing the results did not make the fight any less interesting. Zayn and Big E put on an entertaining show for the fans in their lumberjack match on the last episode of SmackDown in 2020.

Sami Zayn came close to defending the title multiple times as he attempted to pin Big E, but the latter kicked out every time. This prompted Zayn to make a run from the ring.

However, the lumberjack Apollo Crews grabbed Zayn and threw him back in the ring. The Master of the Five Count hit the Big Ending to go into 2021 as the new Intercontinental champion.

It was the only title that changed hands on this week’s SmackDown. Both Roman Reigns, and the tag team of Charlotte Flair and Asuka defended their respective belts.

Sami Zayn blames “injustice” in his title loss to Big E on SmackDown

Heel Zayn is probably one of the most fun things going on in WWE at the moment. Sami took to his Twitter account to cry foul as he believed that he lost the title unfairly to Big E.

The Canadian star said that he would get to the “bottom of things” and seemed defiant in coming to terms with the result.

He ended the tweet with a link for people to donate to a good cause to help the affected in the war-torn country of Syria.

It will now be interesting to see what happens with this storyline. Sami Zayn mentioning “this is not over” is probably indicates that the two may still have a few matches to come against each other in the future.
