Sami Zayn was the champion before AJ Styles won the vacant Intercontinental title

WWE star Sami Zayn still seems to be bitter about losing out his Intercontinental title. He was stripped of the title a few months back as he decided not to feature on SmackDown due to the coronavirus pandemic.

While WWE could have had an interim champion, they decided to strip Zayn of the title and hold a tournament to decide a new champion.

AJ Styles won that tournament and he has looked great since picking up the title. He has beaten some top stars during his time as the champion and Fox asked how Styles was doing as the champion.

While some fans praised Styles for his efforts since becoming the champ, Zayn wasn’t all that pleased.

He graded Styles’ reign with an ‘F’ and even called it fraudulent.

Styles has beaten Matt Riddle and Drew Gulak since becoming champion, and it will be interesting to see who his next rival could be.

However, the Canadian star is right in calling out Styles as the decision to strip Zayn wasn’t correct. Zayn vs Styles would be amazing and the Artist Collective could have all three members as champions if the Canadian wins.

Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura got the deal done over the New Day as they became SmackDown Tag Team Champions at Extreme Rules.

Zayn also congratulated his friends after they won the title, and hopefully, we can see the Canadian back on WWE soon.
