Sami Zayn mocks Stone Cold Steve Austin after receiving praise from Mick Foley on Twitter
Sami Zayn is one of the longest serving wrestlers on the WWE roster. He has been part of monumental feuds especially with best friend/rival Kevin Owens over the years.
Zayn has been one of the most hardworking stars on WWE for a few years and on the recent episode of Broken Skulls, WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley had words of praise for the Canadian star. Foley says that whatever Zayn does, he makes it work.
” I like me some Sami Zayn “
Zayn retweeted thanking him for his words but taunted Austin:
“Mick is the best & has been singing my praises for years. It’s humbling to say the least, considering he was one of my biggest influences as I was breaking in. Steve, on the other hand…you need to pick up your game man. You don’t talk nearly enough about how great I am!”
Austin is said to be a harsh critic towards WWE Superstars, so maybe Zayn expects more from the WWE legend. Zayn, meanwhile, is on SmackDown feuding in the Intercontinental Championship picture. Crews, is the current champion along with his new confidante Commander Azeez.
Zayn is also a former Intercontinental and NXT Champion and has featured on all brands.
Zayn, however, wasn’t the only star that Foley had some great praise for.
The Hall of Famer described former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre as a ‘potential realised.’ Foley had earlier spoken about McIntyre coming back stronger after his WWE release. McIntyre is now facing Bobby Lashley at Hell in a cell for the WWE Championship.
He also claimed WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair had one of the best ‘WrestleMania moments he has ever seen.”
Foley went on to talk about other Superstars in WWE including The Fiend and Alexa Bliss. Bliss is having one of the best performances in her new persona and is set to face Shayna Baszler at Hell in a Cell.’
The WWE is filled with exciting stars on all rosters – young, agile and energetic. Foley himself will know how hard it takes to stay at the top of WWE. He seems impressed with where the company is heading soon.
