WWE Superstar Sami Zayn was not happy with the WWE handing Tampa Bay Lightning a custom made WWE title
Sami Zayn is a big fan of the NHL team Montreal Canadiens. Unfortunately, he had to witness the Montreal-based team get trashed by Tampa Bay Lightning in the Stanley Cup 2021.
Lightning thereby won their second consecutive Stanley Cup title, after some individual brilliance from Andrei Vasilevskiy who was named the playoffs MVP.
The Lightning took the series 4-1, after the Canadiens pulled one back in the fourth game, having lost the first three matches.
Zayn was elated following the Canadiens’ win in the fourth game. He was one among the attendees at the Centre Bell arena.
Taking to Twitter, he wrote: “I’m in heaven.”
However, his excitement turned out to be short-lived, as the Lightning beat the Canadiens on the 8th of July, to seal the playoffs.
Following Lightning’s victory, the WWE announced that they would be getting a custom WWE title, with their logos engraved on both sides. WWE Superstar and COO Triple H too announced the same on his Twitter handle, while also congratulating the Lightning.
Zayn was infuriated following WWE’s announcement of handing out the Lightning a custom WWE belt. Taking to Twitter, an irate Zayn wrote:
I’m used to WWE doing everything possible to screw with me, but COME ON.
Zayn is currently in a feud with Kevin Owens, while coming across as a conspiracy theorist. He has been superb as a heel in the blue brand.
