Keith Lee got a fireball blasted to his face during a contract signing on NXT

WWE star Samoa Joe had his say regarding Keith Lee and the fireball incident that took place on NXT this week.

Joe is currently a commentator on Monday Night Raw and he was surprised seeing what took place on NXT.

Karrion Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux wanted Lee to sign a contract to defend his NXT title. As Lee tried to sign the contract, a fireball exploded on his face and the NXT Champion was in obvious pain.

Medics had to attend to Lee, who was having trouble with his sight, and his partner, Mia Yim, also rushed to his side.

While Lee vs Kross will take place soon, Joe spoke about his contract signings in recent weeks. The Samoan Submission Machine has been unlucky with injuries but has done well as a commentator and during contract signings.

Joe can hold his own in such battles but most of his signings haven’t led to fireballs or such mishaps.

That was something that Joe alluded too as he took a bit of a shot at NXT:

While Joe’s return to in-ring action is a topic for another day, the former NXT star has presided over some of the biggest contract signings on Raw.

One was the signing between Asuka, Sasha Banks, Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre. That did end up into a huge brawl but it was an entertaining segment.

Another one was the contract signing between Dominik Mysterio and Seth Rollins. While all of these contract signings have ended up in a brawl, none of the participants have seen the contract blow up in their face.

It will be interesting to see how Lee responds to this attack, but he will be a little wary the next time he has to sign a contract.
