Sasha Banks promotes shoes designed by husband for a charitable cause
Former wrestler-turned-designer Sarath Ton, AKA Mikaze, has collaborated with sportswear brand Diadora to design custom-made shoes for a special cause.
The proceeds from the sales of these kicks will go entirely to Autism Speaks, which is an organization ‘dedicated to promoting solutions, across the spectrum and throughout the life span, for the needs of individuals with autism and families.’
The shoes are titled The Diadora x sarath n.9002 ‘Autism Awareness’ edition and have a palette of black, grey, yellow, and white, with jigsaw puzzles drawn on the back.
And WWE superstar Sasha Banks, Mikaze’s wife, was modelling the shoes on her Instagram profile to promote the launch.
The custom made version of these iconic shoes will be available at Foot Locker, Footaction, and Champs Sports.
Sarath Ton collaborates with Diadora for Autism Speaks
Sasha Banks’ brother, Joshua, who is Sarath Ton’s brother-in-law, is an autistic adult. And the sales of these shoes, priced at $175, will go on sale from today onwards.
Foot Locker and Diadora will themselves donate $10,000 to the foundation. Speaking about his collaboration with the company, Sarath Ton says: (h/t prnewswire.com)

It’s dedicated to not only all of the families who include a member who is on the spectrum but to my brother-in-law Joshua who is autistic. The designer has no shortage of models, it seems, as Lince Dorado was also seen sporting these custom-made sneakers on social media.
Such charitable acts go a long way in making the world a better place, piece by piece and hopefully, the collaboration, as well as the foundation, reaches the goals they have set out to achieve.
