Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler picked up an impressive win over Sasha Banks and Bayley at Payback
The golden run of the Golden Role Models seems to be over for now.
Bayley and Sasha Banks came into their WWE Women’s Tag title match at Payback confident of getting a win.
They were up against Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax. The size and power advantage might have been with Baszler and Jax, but they were bitter rivals who had their own feud coming into the clash.
However, Baszler and Jax worked extremely well and were able to win the titles. The crucial moment in the clash took place with Banks and Bayley both being held in submissions at the same time by Baszler.
While Banks was screaming out in pain, Bayley tried to make the save and she was caught in a hold too. Banks then tried to save her friend, but Baszler used the Boss’ arm to choke out Bayley.
It was Bayley that tapped out in the end as the Gold Role Models lost their tag titles. While Baszler and Jax celebrated, the Golden Role Models were left shattered.
Banks laying the blame on Bayley?
The seeds of discontent were already sowed between Banks and Bayley after the Boss lost her Raw title to Asuka.
Bayley took some shots at her friend, but all in jest. However, things could be souring between them now.
Banks posted on Twitter that it wasn’t her that tapped out and that is a bit of a shot at her best friend.

“I didn’t tap”
It will be interesting to see what is next for Banks and Bayley. They have gone from having all the women’s titles on the main brands to only having the SmackDown women’s title now.
It could be the start of the end of the Golden Role Models, unless the pair reclaim the titles back soon.
