Former WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins gives his statement on a possible Shield Reunion on the company

The Shield is one of the most popular factions in modern wrestling history. This group gave us three of the leading superstars of the current generation: Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, and Universal Champion Roman Reigns but one question that comes around in the mind of every fan is will we ever see them back together?

The Shield is one of the popular factions in WWE history

One of the Shield members Seth Rollins recently spoke to Digital Spy where he has an update on the possible Shield Reunion and his answer might disappoint some fans

“I can say that, and maybe this might come back to bite me at some point, but I just don’t think you’re ever going to see the three of us team up again,” Rollins said. “It wouldn’t look the way you want it to look. It wouldn’t be like the old days in The Shield; it would be a different animal. I think we’re all just too big stars with too big personalities at this point.” (H/T Wrestling Inc.)

This trio burst into the scene back in 2012 at WWE Survivor Series by attacking Ryback and John Cena to help CM Punk retain the WWE title, they didn’t stop there and went on to dominate the company.

Seth Rollins gives a major statement about all The Shield members

While continuing the interview Rollins mentioned how the three of them are all standalone stars now and are on a different level and he feels that The Shield reunion will not happen again.

“We needed each other back then, and now none of us needs the other one,” he continued. “We’re at a point where we’re all standalone stars on a different level. So to have to minimize that to fit into each other’s moulds, I don’t see it ever happening again. It would look a lot different than the next time you see us together.”

However, he did mention one particular instance where the fans will see them standing side by side.

“The next time you see us together, it’s going to be when we’re inducted into the Hall of Fame,” he said. “That’s going to be it.”

Shield’s final match took place in 2019 when they defeated Drew McIntyre, Baron Corbin and Bobby Lashley at WWE’s The Shield’s Final Chapter event. SO it can be true that we might see them together in the Hall of Fame as the company has inducted several factions like D-Generation X, and the Four Horsemen.
