WWE legend Shawn Michaels spoke highly of The Undertaker
Former WWE superstar Shawn Michaels revealed that he respected The Undertaker the most.
Michaels and Taker have met several times in the ring, and HBK had some great words for his rival on Twitter:
“I’ve battled @undertaker for decades. There isn’t a Superstar who has created more of an aura around his character or commanded as much respect in the locker room. Excited to watch #TheLastRide tonight on the @WWENetwork after #MITB.”
While it is no secret that The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels did not get along during the 90s, the extent of their dislike for one another is not as widely known.
Last year, Taker had spoken out about his dislike for him. In the same breath, he also admitted that their current relationship is a whole lot better than it used to be.
The Dead Man said, “Where Shawn Michaels and I are today and where we were at back then on a personal level… it’s taken a complete 360. If Shawn Michaels back then was on fire, I probably wouldn’t p*** on him to put him out.
“That being said, there is no one that I would rather be in the ring with than Shawn Michaels. When it came to bell time and we were looking across the ring from each other, you knew it was going to be something really special.”
HBK fighting one more time
Last year at WWE Crown Jewel, Michaels came out of an eight-year retirement to team with Triple H in a tag match victory over The Undertaker and Kane.
Michaels had turned down many offers over the years to come out of retirement, but he finally gave in when H came-a-calling.
Triple H shared what led Michaels to give in and come out of retirement on Corey Graves’ podcast.
“So, it morphed into him being a little bit part of it and then he was thinking about moving and getting more a part of it, so you just gave him a little bit and then you become like this crack seller. I gave him a taste and I got the hook and then I had it.”
