Sheamus has a hilarious take on his fish hook on Matt Riddle on WWE RAW

WWE Superstar Sheamus has hilariously compared his opponent Matt Riddle to Batman villain ‘The Joker’ after their fight on Monday Night RAW.

Sheamus, following his feud with Drew McIntyre, is headed for a shot at the WWE United States Championship, currently held by Riddle.

Last week saw Sheamus hit ‘The Original Bro’ with his scooter.’ The Celtic Warrior’ once again attacked the US champ backstage on Monday, setting up a match between the two. What followed was an intensely physical bout with either man not pulling any punches.

Sheamus went on to pick up the win following a powerful knee to the face of the Riddle, furthering the storyline towards a title opportunity at WrestleMania 37.

During the fight with Riddle, Sheamus used an illegal fish hook on the United States Champion. Posting a picture of the same on Twitter, ‘The Celtic Warrior’ compared Riddle’s face to that of the well-known Batman character ‘The Joker’.

Riddle won the United States Championsip at WWE Elimination Chamber last month, beating Bobby Lashley and John Morrison in a triple-threat match. Since then, he has defended the title against Mustafa Ali at the WWE Fastlane PPV earlier this month.

Two weeks out from WrestleMania, WWE has pitted ‘The Original Bro’ up against Sheamus, who is fresh out from his feud with Drew McIntyre. While it wasn’t exactly a classic, Monday night’s fight between the two showed plenty of chemistry and spark.

Riddle may be a bit of a divisive character but his in-ring work is quality. And, going up against Sheamus, who put up some of his best work in his feud with McIntyre recently, could lead to fireworks at the ‘Showcase of the Immortals’ in two weeks’ time.
