Sheamus gets broken nose after match with Jeff Hardy
Sheamus suffered a broken nose in a match with Jeff Hardy. The Celtic warrior confirmed the news on Twitter where he wrote:
“..the mask came off..jeff rebroke my nose..then priest attacked me..retribution is coming lads #WWERaw”
Sheamus squared off with Hardy in a match on this week’s Monday Night RAW. Hardy also could’ve booked his place in the United States Championship match at Extreme Rules with a win. A win over Sheamus was never to come by easy.
The two went toe to toe in the co-main event of Raw to give fans a treat. But Hardy ended up busting the nose of the Celtic warrior. Blood spilled all over his beard and Hardy also caught him with a sunset flip to earn the victory.
After the match Sheamus went on to confront Damian Priest who’s the current United States Champion which resulted in brawl also doing more damage to Sheamus’ nose.
Hardy has also now confirmed his place in the United States Championship match at Extreme Rules. The match will now be a triple-threat match between Sheamus, Jeff Hardy and Damian Priest.
Sheamus’ history with broken nose
This was not the first time the Irish wrestler suffered a broken nose. Back in June 2021 he caught a strike from Humberto Carrillo which also broke his nose. Sheamus had to undergo a surgery to get his nose fixed.
This was the reason Sheamus had also been wearing a mask over his face. With the WWE Extreme Rules scheduled to be taking place this weekend it will be interesting to see whether Sheamus is allowed to fight again or not.
