Sheamus was unhappy with Drew McIntyre for interfering his match against Bobby Lashley
This week’s WWE Monday Night RAW saw Bobby Lashley take on Sheamus in a singles match. As expected, the match-up was physical and brutal.
This came after ‘The Chosen One’, Drew McIntyre, defeated the ‘Celtic Warrior’ in a no holds barred match at Fastlane 2020. But their feud is not new.
The two turned foes from friends in the past few weeks and were recently involved in a gruesome match which saw them beat each other to pulp in a fight that had to be called a no-contest.
The theme carried on at Fastlane but there was a hint of a new angle on RAW the following day when Sheamus took on the current WWE champion.
That match saw Hurt Business members, Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander, intervene and beat up the Irishman during and after the fight.
Lashley didn’t like it himself but did nothing to stop them. And after the duo went to town on Sheamus after the bell, out came the Scotsman to save his friend.
This was a hint, at least at that moment, that Sheamus had turned face. But that was not to be, as he stated after the match, and on social media, that he would prefer if the former champion stayed out of his matches.
McIntyre posted a photo of himself to hype up his WrestleMania 37 title clash when he will take on Lashley, who indirectly won the belt from him in the first place.
And Sheamus responded by commenting “STAY THE HELL OUTTA MY MATCHES YOU BLUE FACED GLORYHUNTER.”
Now that is probably in reference to McIntyre being very vocal about his team, Rangers, winning the Scottish Premiership earlier this month.
This could also have been due to McIntyre painting his face before their Fastlane match.
But in between the lines and the events that unfolded, you could tell there is a big love-hate relationship going on between the two on the show.
