WWE wrestler Sheamus was unfortunate to be on the receiving end of a painful injury – suffering a broken nose on Monday Night Raw
On Monday night’s latest episode of RAW, Sheamus faced off against Ricochet and Humberto Carrillo which eventually resulted in losing to both men. During the singles match with Carrillo, Sheamus was busted open after Carrillo hit a forearm to his nose.
Sheamus will be looking to return to the ring swiftly and continue his ongoing rivalry on RAW, that has gotten heated in the last few weeks between the pair.
A furious Sheamus had this to tweet about the freak incident :
” ..utter scumbaggery on #WWERaw ”
This is not the first incident of an accidental injury between Sheamus and Carrillo. A few weeks back, Carrillo attempted a sunset flip powerbomb to the outside that ended up with Sheamus landing on Carrillo’s knee and the match was stopped and Carrillo was treated for his knee injury.
While the WWE Universe keenly anticipates the official statement, Sheamus posted on Twitter showing the brutality of non-title matches. His nose had a major deviation while also getting discoloured due to the multiple bruises.
With the Universal Championship and the WWE Championships being on the forefront for years, the prestige and legacy of the US Title had diminished ever since its inception in 1975, first won by the great Harley Race.
In the past, the greatest wrestlers have fought over this distinguished title for years and have eventually gone on to make the WWE Hall of Fame. The US Title has switched brands from Raw to Smackdown and back which increased the competition to gain this elite championship.
Sheamus picked up his third US Title at The Show of Shows beating Matt Riddle to pick up the lucrative gold and begin a new era.
Sheamus is a four-time World Champion, having held the WWE Championship on three occasions, World Heavyweight Championship once and WWE Raw Tag Team Championship four times. He also won the King of the Ring in 2010 and the Royal Rumble in 2012, as well as the WWE United States Championship twice.
