Sheamus is a proud Liverpool fan. His team was on the cusp of Premier League glory until Manchester City dashed their hopes to win an incredible 4th title in 5 seasons.
Premier League finished thrillingly on the final day. Manchester City and Liverpool were jostling for the top position as they hosted Aston Villa and Wolves respectively. The respective matches started with Liverpool having a point lesser than City. Therefore, the Reds needed to win their match and hope that City stumble against Villa.
Villa’s manager ironically is the Liverpool legend, Steven Gerrard. The Reds hoped that their former talisman midfielder would be able to hold City. He almost had them beat before a tremendous turnaround from the Citizens helped them win the league with a difference of just one point from second-placed Liverpool. Villa went 2-0 ahead but conceded thrice in five mad minutes to squander the lead as Liverpool’s 3-1 win against Wolves went in vain.
The Celtic Warrior congratulated City and also stood by his team, Liverpool via a tweet. The European dreams are not yet over for the team from Anfield as they take on Real Madrid in the finals of the UEFA Champions League in a few days. The match will be held in Paris. Sheamus wrote:
“What a bleedn season. Brilliant! Congrats to City but so proud of the reds. Now off to Paris for the big one. #YNWA“
How’s Sheamus been doing recently in WWE?
The former WWE Champion has formed a villainous faction known as Fight Night comprising youngsters Butch and Ridge Holland.
Sheamus is doing well to guide the newcomers Butch and Holland on the main roster. The trio has been involved in a feud with The New Day and the two factions have gone back and forth for over a couple of months now.
Xavier Woods faced Butch last week on SmackDown. The 2021 King of the Ring Woods won the match but was attacked thereafter. He was interviewed backstage and he cut a frustrated figure. Woods mentioned that he would team up with Kofi Kingston and a mystery partner to take on Fight Night on this week’s episode of SmackDown.
