Sheamus chips in his opinion on who should lead the Survivor Series SmackDown team as captain
WWE superstar Sheamus booked his spot as the last entrant for the Survivor Series SmackDown team. After getting his place in the Survivor Series team, the Celtic Warrior talked about how he feels he should be the one leading the team SmackDown as captain.
While speaking on Talking Smack with Megan Morant, Sheamus opened up on booking his place in the team. He said:
“I shouldn’t have even had to qualify to be on the WWE Survivor Series team, the truth of the matter is, I’m the diamond in the rough for this Survivor Series team on SmackDown. I should be the captain, I should be leading these men into battle to take down Raw and destroy them…crush them underneath me toe. With Ridge my best mate besides me, nothing’s impossible.”
Sheamus has no doubt in his mind that he should’ve not only been on the team without having to qualify, in fact, but he should also be the one leading his team. The former WWE champion had been on Raw for years before being drafted to the blue brand during this year’s WWE drafts. Now, he is ready to destroy his old home.
The Celtic Warrior booked his spot in the team after winning a fatal-4-way match this past week on SmackDown. Sheamus took on Cesaro, Ricochet and Jinder Mahal and beat them with a little help from his friend Ridge Holland.
Sheamus will now join Drew McIntyre, Jeff Hardy, Xavier Woods and Baron Corbin to take on the red brand’s Survivor Series team of Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, Kevin Owens, Bobby Lashley and Austin Theory.
