“See real birds” – Sheamus takes a shot at Riddle after WrestleMania 37 win

Sheamus finally got the better of Riddle as he won the US title at WrestleMania 37

Sheamus vs Riddle was always going to be an interesting battle at WWE WrestleMania 37. Riddle picked up the title a while back and had done a good job as the champion.

However, Sheamus had been a thorn in the side of the Original Bro. The match went back and forth with both stars giving it their all.

Sheamus and Riddle had some big moves to show off too but it was Sheamus that picked up the win on the grandest stage of them all.

The Celtic Warrior had been on quite a rise since he came on Raw and even hit out at Riddle after the match.

This was a slight at the birds that were part of Riddle’s entrance a while back. Many had called out WWE about this and Sheamus took his shot and hit the target:

“..said i’d throw my hat in the ring & make @SuperKingofBros see real birds fly.. United States Champion AND you’re welcome. #WrestleMania #finisherofthecentury”

The Celtic Warrior also seemed pleased with the finisher he used on Riddle. This was a Brogue Kick on a mid-air Riddle, and it is suffice to say that the former champion felt the full force of this.

Sheamus had been incredible in his battles with Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley coming into WrestleMania weekend.

It was a bit of a travesty he wasn’t holding any kind of gold. However, WWE made a right move in letting him win over Riddle.

That finish was incredible, to say the least, and it will be interesting to see how Sheamus’ reign goes now.

Riddle would be keen on reclaiming his gold, and the Original Bro has been one of the best things in WWE since the pandemic started.

He is great in the ring but his promos outside of it are funny and well, there have been some unintentional hilarious moments too.
