Shelton Benjamin comments on WWE ending The Hurt Business

The Hurt Business was one of the best factions WWE created recently but that was broken up on Raw and Shelton Benjamin wasn’t all too happy with it

WWE hasn’t had a great time of creating teams or factions in recent years. However, they achieved something great by creating the Hurt Business.

MVP and Bobby Lashley were the original members of it before Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander were included.

They enjoyed some great success with all four winning gold. Benjamin and Alexander were the Raw tag champions, MVP and Lashley both won the US title before The All Mighty became the WWE Champion.

However, WWE broke up the team after Alexander and Benjamin failed to defeat Drew McIntyre in a handicap match.

That saw Lashley attack Alexander and Benjamin, and MVP also confirmed that the Business only featured the original members.

Benjamin shared his disappointment at all this and took a veiled dig at WWE:

“The events of this past week have been beyond infuriating frustrating & disappointing but sadly comes as no surprise”

This isn’t the first time WWE broke up a successful team. The IIconics were dong well before Billie Kay and Peyton Royce were split up.

Angel Garza, Zelina Vega and Andrade were also great as a Latin group, but the latter pair have been released by WWE in recent months.

WWE mess up The Hurt Business

It did come as a shock that Benjamin was attacked by Lashley. MVP then sought the help of Baron Corbin to beat up McIntyre, but King Corbin is also not part of the faction.

MVP has also confirmed that he is always on the look out for quality members to join, and it will be interesting to see what is next.

Bobby Lashley attacked Shelton Benjamin on Raw (WWE)

Lashley defends his title against McIntyre at WrestleMania and he will have to do it on his own. Benjamin and Alexander are barred from ring side but after the recent attack, it is unlikely they will return.

The pair became relevant in WWE thanks to MVP, and if the Hurt Business has been split up for good, this is a poor decision by creative.
