Triple H takes to Twitter to welcome Shotzi Blackheart and Tegan Nox to SmackDown
WWE COO Triple H welcomed in two new debutants in the form of Shotzi Blackheart and Tegan Nox on SmackDown.
The pair made their debut on Friday, facing Natalya and Tamina in a non-title match on the blue brand.
Triple H was impressed with their debut on SmackDown, saying:
“Two of #WWENXT’s most dedicated, resilient, and individual BAD ASSES made their #Smackdown debut against two of @WWE’s finest champions. Congrats to @ShotziWWE and @TeganNoxWWE_!!! #WeAreNXT”
Blackheart and Nox have been impressive on WWE NXT, which led to their rise to the main roster. They won their opening match against the champions, which shows that they are talented and waiting to fulfill their potential.
The bout ended with Nox saving her partner from a loss and Shotzi hitting the Ball Pit off the top rope on Natalya to secure a pinfall. The win is already a big feat in their new careers.
Nox made a return from a ACL injury this past week on NXT Great American Bash. Her return marks a gap of almost a year since her last appearance.
Blackheart, meanwhile, was in a tag team with Ember Moon, so this is a new and unfamiliar territory.
What could be in store for the new pairing?
Nox and Blackheart have had their fair share of success in NXT. The move could be a start of a new chapter for them as they move to the main roster. The chemistry between them is for everyone to see and could work well in the future.
What is important to note is that with their win, they have already put the women’s tag team division on notice. There is a lot of expectations on their shoulder but they can carry it well in the next year or so.
