Shotzi wants Chris Jericho to lighten up after Twitter spat

Published by

WWE SmackDown women’s superstar Shotzi and AEW and pro-wrestling veteran Chris Jericho have been feuding since May, this year

At AEW Blood & Guts, earlier this year in May, Chris Jericho was pushed from the top of the cage by fellow AEW star MJF. Y2J, thrown off the cage by Friedman, crashed onto the entrance ramp below with a loud thud, even as he lay motionless.

Following the fall, Jericho suffered an elbow injury, and was not able to resume regular action for quite a while, although he appeared on the very next episode with a wrapped up elbow.

Elsewhere, WWE SmackDown women’s superstar Shotzi had mocked Jericho’s fall from the cage by posting a GIF of a woman cosying into her bed just like the way Jericho fell from the top.

This didn’t sit well with Jericho as he fired shots at Shotzi during a Saturday Night Special stream in June. In fact, Jericho ripped apart Shotzi.

He was quoted as saying:

“Anybody that bags on somebody who’s taking a chance and putting their bodies on the line can really f*** off. Especially people in the business. I could say some names. There’s a couple of chicks in WWE who said some stuff and they should probably not have said that. They probably weren’t trained any better, and in 6 months they’ll probably be asking us for a job anyways and I’ll remember that, so we’ll leave it at that.” [via Wrestling Inc.]

Shotzi asks Chris Jericho to take a joke

Shotzi recently responded to Jericho’s message on his Saturday Night Special Stream. In a recent interview with talkSPORT Shotzi claimed that she meant no offence to Jericho. She also asked Jerico to take a joke.

Tegan Nox and Shotzi

Here is what Shotzi had to say:

“I meant no offence to Chris Jericho. I thought, honestly, the match was great. But, you know what, like, take a joke, Take a joke, bud! It’s just a GIF. Laugh at it and move on. It’s live TV. Things happen, it’s pro wrestling. Don’t take life too seriously is all I have to say.”

Shotzi is currently teamed up with Tegan Nox and the pair made their main roster debut in July, this year.

Jericho is yet to reply to the same.
