The Christmas day episode of SmackDown was shot on Tuesday this week. An article by WrestleZone (h/t Fightful) has leaked the results of the title bouts scheduled to take place on the blue brand this Friday.
Out of the three title matches on the episode, the title changes hands only once.
Big E is scheduled to beat Sami Zayn and win the Intercontinental Championship in their Lumberjack match.
The ‘Master of the five count’ will be the Intercontinental champion for the 2nd time in his WWE career. He won the title first in 2013 when he beat Curtis Axel in 2013 and held it for an impressive 167 days.
The leak also mentions that Zayn tries to run off after the end of the match. However, he is tossed back into the ring by Apollo Crews.
No new champions to be announced on WWE SmackDown on Christmas apart from Big E
The other two title fights will see the current champions defend their belts against the challengers.
Roman Reigns is scheduled to defeat Kevin Owens in the Steel Cage match for the Universal Championship, as Jey Uso interferes to handcuff KO to the cage.
In the Women’s Tag Team title match, Asuka and Charlotte Flair defended their belt once again. The duo beat Bianca Belair & Sasha Banks, and Bayley & Carmella.
MediaReferee will have the coverage of everything that goes down on the Christmas day episode of SmackDown this Friday.
