Viewership of WWE SmackDown drops significantly again this week in spite of WrestleMania Backlash gearing up
This week’s WWE SmackDown episode saw a significant viewership drop from the previous week. This is despite WrestleMania Backlash heating up.
According to Spoiler TV, the April 16th edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown brought in 2.055 million viewers with a 0.4 in the 18 to 49 demographic.
April 8th episode of SmackDown brought in 2.0995 viewers and a 0.55 in the 18 to 49 demographic for the fallout after WrestleMania. However, the April 1st edition of Friday Night SmackDown pulled in 2.36 million viewers with a 0.61 in the 18 to 49 demographic.
This was a tremendous improvement from the previous week, and it was a good sign as it was followed by the WWE Hall of Fame.
WWE SmackDown has been seeing ups and downs in viewership over the past two months
As we go through the recent viewership pattern for SmackDown, we can see that there have been ups and downs in viewership of episodes.
The March 18th episode of WWE SmackDown brought an overnight average of 2.0425 million viewers with a 0.55 in the 18 to 49 demographic.
March 11th’s episode saw 2.133 million viewers with a 0.5 in the 18 to 49 demographic. The March 4th episode of SmackDown drew an overnight average of 2.1395 million viewers with a 0.5 in the 18 to 49 demographic.
February 18th episode of Fox brought 2,064,000 viewers with a 0.5 in the 18 to 49 demographic. So as we can see, there has been a decline in viewership. We will have to wait and watch if they can pull the ratings up.
