Gina Carano was sacked from the cast of Mandalorian and WWE fans want Sonya Deville to play her character

WWE fans think superstar Sonya Deville is the perfect replacement to play the role of Cara Dune on The Mandalorian.

A spot for the role of the shock trooper has recently opened up after the actress playing it was fired. Sonya Deville is also not opposed to the idea of it.

And there is no reason she should be. The Stars Wars series is on of the most popular TV shows in the world, with several WWE stars also being a part of its fanbase.

Former WWE wrestler Mark Henry first quoted a post that mentioned the WWE Universe’s demand of wanting Deville on the show.

Deville then acknowledged the rumours as she replied to the tweet by ‘The Strongest Man in the World’.

Why Sonya Deville could slot in for Gina Carano as Cara Dune on The Mandalorian

Carano was infamously fired from the show earlier this month for her controversial social media posts.

She has courted controversy in the past, but her latest social media post comparing the current political climate to that of Nazi Germany drew the most heat.

Carano was most probably casted for the role because of the agility and physical fitness required for the role of Cara Dune. After all, she is a former MMA fighter.

This is why fans think Deville could also fit into the role in a heartbeat and not look out of place. ‘Daddy Deville’ is, of course, an ex-MMA fighter herself.

If she does get hired, it would naturally see a decrease in her activity on WWE. However, the marketing potential in such a situation would probably also have the promotion on board with it.
