Ronda Rousey will have both her arms at her disposal as she faces the brash Sonya Deville next week on the blue brand

Ronda Rousey came to the ring on this week’s edition of SmackDown. She was in the middle of an interview with Michael Cole, when her long-time rival Charlotte Flair interrupted, making her way towards the ring.

Charlotte bragged about how she will make Ronda beg for mercy when she puts her in figure 8. Ronda was looking on in anger as Charlotte cut her promo getting personal towards the end. The SmackDown Women’s champion said once she beats Ronda at ‘Mania, she could go home and focus on baby number two.

All this was part of a plan as Sonya Deville came from behind and attacked Ronda’s surgically repaired knee. Charlotte also came along as she slammed her knee against the ring post. Ronda was left in in excruciating pain as Sonya looked to take an advantage of the former Raw Women’s Champion. Ronda however got back to a vertical base after tossing away the opportunistic Sonya Deville.

Sonya escaped the raging Ronda Rousey as she went backstage.

Sonya has had a persistent issue with Naomi over the past few months. She has got herself involved in many of Naomi’s matches. While WWE never told us what issue Sonya had with Naomi, it would have been nice if they continued the feud with a reason till WrestleMania. Like many feuds these days in WWE, this one too fizzed out without a proper ending. Yes, Naomi and Ronda beat Flair and Deville at the Elimination Chamber but this feud deserved a one-on-one ending for sure. At least because of the time that WWE invested in it.

Now, Naomi has just announced this week on SmackDown that she will team up with Sasha and look to win the tag titles. Sonya has got involved in this feud between Charlotte and Ronda which doesn’t make much sense. The kind of history Charlotte and Ronda have, they could have made the build up to ‘Mania more epic by themselves, without external help.

Sonya, for all her troubles, will have to face the “Baddest woman on the Planet” next week.
