Sonya Deville helped Charlotte Flair lift her WWE suspension this week
Well, that didn’t last long… Charlotte Flair has made her return on WWE RAW after just a week out with suspension.
Last week, she attacked referee Eddie Orengo after the referee failed to spot Rhea Ripley’s interference in her loss against former RAW Women’s champion, Asuka.
Laster, Adam Pearce announced a suspension and a $100,000 fine for her. But this week, Sonya Deville, in her executive role, decided to overturn that decision which was believed to have been taken because Charlotte wanted some dental procedures done.
She brought out both ‘The Queen’ and Orengo to the ring where they apologized to each other. Charlotte for attacking him, and the ref for not noticing ‘The Nightmare’.
But things always seemed a bit off; Charlotte’s apology didn’t really seem too sincere and with her heel turn recently, you can tell that something is up.
But backstage WWE interviewer and presenter, Kayla Braxton, thinks that Deville is trying to be ‘The Ultimate Opportunist’ with this decision.
That nickname was, of course, given to Edge for how he used to win titles by using his Money in the Bank briefcases.
And Braxton thinks that it’s something that Deville is trying to emulate. She wrote in her tweet:
“Looks like @SonyaDevilleWWE is going after @EdgeRatedR’s thing of being the ultimate opportunist.”
Deville smugly replied telling Braxton that this is no way to talk to her boss. It seems that this storyline could be something that could involve Adam Pearce and Deville.
The latter made an apology to Pearce for overriding his decision, but he did not believe her. As for Charlotte, she is for sure getting another title push against the new Australian champion on RAW.
