Brian Myers took a shot at Vince McMahon after joining Impact Wrestling
Brian Myers, formerly Curt Hawkins of WWE, has taken a dig at the promotion’s Chairman Vince McMahon, after joining Impact Wrestling.
Myers was one among the host of wrestlers that WWE released back in April, citing budget cut downs amid the coronavirus pandemic. Having left the promotion, Myers had been inactive until now, as he was serving a 90-day non-compete clause.
But on Tuesday’s episode of Impact, it was revealed that he had made the switch much like a number of other wrestlers WWE had released.
During the episode, a video played which focused on Myers in the ring as voices could be heard saying things like “good hand,” “on the right track,” “trust the process,” and “just missing something.” Myers then looked up at the camera while wearing a face mask.

Myers takes a shot at McMahon
Having joined Impact Wrestling, Myers couldn’t resist but take a shot at his former boss, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon. Posting on Twitter after the episode, he wrote:
“Well, [Vince McMahon] I’m sorry, I love you. *superkick. [Impact Wrestling] Let’s. Go.”

Myers, formerly Hawkins, becomes the latest in line to make the switch to Impact Wrestling after having been released by WWE. He joins the likes of EC3, Eric Young, The Good Brothers and Heath Slater, all of whom made their debuts on the Slammiversary PPV this past weekend.
It will be interesting to see how Myers fits in at Impact. But one thing is for sure. These ex-WWE talents are out to prove a point and if the early vignettes and promos are any indication, McMahon could very well end up ruing their releases.
