Cesaro finally has his WrestleMania moment after impressive win against Seth Rollins
This was probably the first time in his decade-long career that Cesaro got this much WWE spotlight; and deservingly so.
He has put in the work over the years and earned this push from the promotion. ‘The Swiss Cyborg’ took on the self-proclaimed ‘Mr. WrestleMania’ Seth Rollins in a singles match.
‘The Architect’ had an impressive 6-2 WrestleMania record before entering this fight at WM 37 and looked to make it 7.
But Cesaro had other plans. He tried to get Rollins into a 22-swing dizzy which he performed all the way back in February.
Rollins could only avoid it for so long as Cesaro got a hold of him and spun him around 23 times before hitting him with the Neutralizer and going on to win the match.
And seeing the underdog finally get the recognition he deserve wasn’t just an emotional moment for the fans, but for his colleagues as well.
Many of them have called Cesaro the most underrated star in the promotion. And a bunch of them were out in support of him when he finally had his ‘Mania moment.
This was his first-ever singles match at WrestleMania and his first WM win in almost 7 years, and a moment that proved many doubters wrong.
And his former tag teammate, friends and foes alike, and upcoming NXT talent were all on hand to react on social media to his big win.
This win, after all, might signal the start of a great push for the superstar by the promotion and finally see him get his hand on some sort of a singles belt.
