Ivar picked up a cervical injury while performing on Raw a couple of weeks back

WWE star Ivar posted an update on his cervical injury and underwent surgery too. The Viking Raiders star was in action as part of an eight-man tag match and went for his trademark dive from the ropes.

However, he landed badly and was holding his ankle at one point. Ivar also put up the “X” sign using his hands repeatedly, which is a signal that he picked up a real injury and not a storyline one.

WWE confirmed that Ivar had a cervical and the star was transferred to a medical facility.

Ivar posted an update on his condition via social media. The Raw performer claimed he has begun his recovery just a week after surgery.

Ivar was also seen holding an X-ray of his injury with the doctor that worked on him. Ivar, real name Todd Smith, added that he was going to come back better than ever.

WWE stars wish him the best

It is always unfortunate when a performer picks up a serious injury in the wrestling ring. This is just proof that wrestling is also a dangerous activity and many stars have been hurt in the past too.

However, WWE has some of the best medical teams on their side, and Ivar should be back and raring to go soon.

He does have to work hard on ensuring his injury has healed up properly. WWE has taken a lot of precautions when it comes to bringing injured stars back, and they should do the same with Ivar.

Many WWE stars were also pleased at learning of this update. They wished Ivar the best on social media, and here are a few reactions from his WWE co-stars.

Angelo Dawkins, one of Ivar’s rivals from the Street Profits, was quick to remind him of his love for Turkey legs.
