WWE is bringing “Saturday Night’s Main Event” to the Center tonight. Several Wrestling stars will be travelling to the State Farm Center for some intense matchups.
The show’s lineup includes some top stars like Cody Rhodes, Women’s Champions Bianca Belair, Ronda Rousey, Becky Lynch, Drew McIntyre, Seth Rollins and more. Let’s find out what this Center is all about.
The Center generally comes alive after dark as the top superstars of WWE perform under one roof with passion and gives the fans all the entertainment. It has hosted the top names in show business. Some notable events include The Rolling Stones, Garth Brooks, Elvis Presley, U2, Frank Sinatra, “Les Miserables,” Bob Hope, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Aerosmith, Reba McEntire, Tina Turner, “Cats,” Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.
The Center opened on March 2, 1963, and has continued to be one of the best hosts ever. Four hundred feet across, it at one time was one of the only two-edge supported domes in the world. The roof is supported by 614 miles of one-quarter inch steel wire wrapped at the dome’s base under intensive pressure. This was made by Max Abramovitz, whose firm also designed the United Nations Buildings and much of the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.
State Farm Center is one of the most significant arenas
State Farm Center ranks among the great arenas of significant cities in terms of seating capacity. It has nearly 15,500 permanent seats but can hold a capacity of a thousand more, making it 16500 depending on the size of the stage.
This Center is the third-largest Illinois arena outside of The United Center in Chicago and Allstate Arena in Rosemont. State Farm Center is one of the hottest and still holds one of the most exciting events in the world.
The Center gears up for Saturday Night’s Main Event. They shared in their official Twitter handle as well. Tickets are sold with prices starting at $20.
