Everyone’s got a price for the million dollar man Ted DiBiase; as he comes up with a unique petition
On the 5th of February,1988, DiBiase approached Andre the Giant to beat Hulk Hogan and win the title for him. Andre the Giant did win the title match, albeit under controversial circumstances.
After his victory Andre the Giant surrendered his title to DiBiase, and he was the WWF World Heavyweight Champion for quite a while. DiBiase even went on to defeat Bam Bam Bigelow once, putting on a successful title defense.
However, just a couple of weeks later, the then WWF President Jack Tunney declared the title vacant since DiBiase did not win the belt via. pin or submission.
33 years later, DiBiase has come up with a petition on Twitter to make that championship reign of his official. This is what he wrote on his Twitter handle:
“Everyone’s got a price for the #MillionDollarMan, even @TheGiant46. In 1988, Andre helped me win the championship from @HulkHogan. @WWE doesn’t recognize this as an official title reign. With the help of the #WWEUniverse we can #MakeItOfficial. https://milliondollarman.com/makeitofficial
The first Million Dollar Faceoff in the NXT took place between Cameron Grimes and the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase.
LA Knight then interrupted, attacking Cameron Grimes. Grimes was left on the floor, writhing in pain. Knight then left along with Ted DiBiase, in what looks like a new feud between Grimes and DiBiase.
It would be interesting to see how the WWE takes things forward with the Million Dollar and Cameron Grimes.
