Ronda Rousey hasn’t been seen in WWE for over a year and has hit out at the fans too

Former WWE star Mark Henry shared his views on Ronda Rousey and her future in WWE.

The former Raw Woman’s Champion hasn’t been seen on WWE for over a year after losing at WrestleMania 35.

She has also hit out at the fans and recently suggested that it was them that made her leave WWE.

Helen Yee was speaking to Henry and asked him about the current situation with Rousey. The former WWE star believed that 10% of the wrestling fans were having issues with Rousey’s talents:

“I think it’s really a small group of fans that watch wrestling are wrestling purists. They want Ronda to not be in Hollywood, they want Ronda to not be an MMA fighter but the focus is to be 100% pro-wrestling.

“It’s not going to happen. She’s special in a way that, she was a world champion in another sport. That she has been in Hollywood in movies and shows, and is a dominant personality in this world.”

One of the greatest debuts

Henry also spoke about the great year she had with WWE and how she went on to main event WrestleMania 35, along with Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair:

“She had the best debut match of all-time. In the one year, she went from dominant wrestling match to main eventing WrestleMania. Never happened before. People need to respect that. I think that Ronda would pour herself into wrestling if the 10% were not there.

“She is thin-skinned like I am and every other great athlete. If you say something negative to us, we are going to use it as fuel.”

The former WWE star did add that Rousey’s comments hurt the other 90% of the fans. However, he did call her out and believed she could return to the ring:

“I will call her out. She is going to be in the main event of WrestleMania. She is going to be in a big-time match. I want the big fight.”

Rousey has denied wanting to return to the ring, but stranger things have happened in WWE. CM Punk is also on WWE shows, even if its only for Fox, and it will be interesting to see what happens with Rousey.
