Former WWE Superstar The Hurricane comments on Nikki Cross’ new superhero look
Former Cruiserweight Champion Shane ‘The Hurricane’ Helms has hilariously reacted to the debut of Nikki Cross’ new ‘superhero’ character.
Nikki Cross teamed up with Alexa Bliss to face Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax in a Money in the Bank Qualifier match. She earlier spoke about the look in a blue mask, talking about her recent success on RAW and embracing her real spirit.
The Hurricane reacted on Twitter using a pun on his name, calling her ‘HERicane.’
Cross also spoke about her reunion with Bliss since their tag team split on RAW, saying: (h/t Wrestling Edge)
“With me and Alexa, so much has happened over the last 6 months. She’s been through a lot, and I have been on a different journey. For tonight, the goal was just to win the match. The whole point was to qualify for the Money in the Bank match, and we achieved that goal. And now, fire, baby!”
The Hurricane himself made a name in the WWE for his superhero persona with a green attire and a black mask. He will be looking to share some words of wisdom after Cross’ decided to don the new attire. It will be interesting to see how long does Cross continue with this persona on WWE Raw.
Nikki Cross & Alexa Bliss qualify for the Women’s Money in the Bank match
The duo joined Asuka and Naomi as the Superstars from WWE RAW for the Money in the Bank next month. Bliss hypnotised Reginald for the second successive week before Cross took advantage to beat the former WWE Raw Women’s Tag Team Champions. Cross will be confident after her recent success with Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley, before Hell in a Cell.
The four other qualifiers will be decided on Friday Night SmackDown for the event in July. Bliss’ will be one of the strong contenders to win the ladder match after her win at Hell in a Cell. She also currently is one of the best wrestlers in the women’s division and has held both the RAW and SmackDown Women’s Championship.
It will be a monumental battle as eight out of the best women’s wrestlers fight it out to get a shot at a Championship – anywhere and anytime.
