The Miz has an incredible streak in WWE lumberjack matches
WWE Superstar The Miz is the holder of an unwanted streak.
The A-Lister, who is a two-time Grand Slam champion, just cannot catch a break when it comes to Lumberjack matches.
Indeed, till date, The Miz has competed in five Lumberjack matches during his WWE career and has failed to win a single won, with the latest defeat coming this past Sunday at the WrestleMania Backlash PPV.
The Miz took on Damian Priest in a Lumberjack match – a stipulation that the latter chose after defeating John Morrison on WWE Raw last week.
Ahead of the bout, Twitter account WWE Stats & Info revelead that the A-lister had failed to win each of his previous four Lumberjack matches.
The Miz would have entered the latest of his WWE lumberjack match to finally snap the streak. However, it was not to be as Damian Priest ended up pinning him after a seven-minute to and fro.
The entire event was overshadowed by the bizarre ‘zombies’ as lumberjacks instead of wrestlers like usual, with WWE promoting former Superstar Batista’s upcoming move ‘Army of the Dead’.
The ending of the fight saw The Miz eat the pin from Priest before the ‘undead’ lumberjacks simulated devouring the A-Lister in the ring.
Prior to his defeat against Priest on Sunday, The Miz had faced Bobbly Lashley in a Lumberjack match earlier this year. Lashley ended up winning that bout, in the process becoming the WWE Champion.
It remains to be seen what’s next in line for The Miz. Surely, though, he will be keen avoiding any more Lumberjack matches from now on given his track record.
