Jungle Cruise starring The Rock and Emily Blunt released on the 30th of July this year
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is one of Hollywood’s biggest stars. The former WWE superstar used his then-WWE persona to make a transition as a movie star.
Following the success of Mummy Returns and The Scorpion King during the early 2000s, when he was still a full-time wrestler, The Rock slowly began making a complete switch to the movie industry.
Since then his appearances in the WWE were sporadic. Now that he has retired from professional wrestling, he has begun focusing solely on movies.
More recently, Jungle Cruise, an adventure/fantasy film starring The Rock and Emily Blunt released worldwide.
The movie received a stunning 94% rating on Rotten Tomatoes’ Audience Score (not to be confused with the Tomatometer).
This rating of 94% is the highest audience score any movie has received in The Rock’s illustrious movie career.
It topped the likes of Hobbs and Show, Moana, Jumanji and others.
The Rock thanks everyone for the massive positive response
The Rock took to Twitter to thank everyone who rated the movie highly, while acknowledging the fact that this “was the highest audience score of his entire career.”
He wrote:
“Just blown away. Thank you!!! Highest @RottenTomatoes audience score of my entire career (and that’s a long ass time cause I’m a dinosaur).”
The Rock then revealed the top 5 movies (Audience Score wise) of his career. Jungle Cruise with a score of 94% was way clear of Moana which has a rating of 89% in second.
“Jumanji 87% Jumanji 2 87% Hobbs 88% Moana 89% JUNGLE CRUISE 94%!!!! People have spoken! Thank you guys. Enjoy #JungleCruise.”
