WWE Superstar The Rock is proud of his daughter joining WWE

Dwayne Johnson recently appeared on Netflix’s Present Company (h/t Ringside News) to promote his new movie “Red Notice,” where he talked about his daughter joining the WWE facility and acting careers.

The Rock said that the WWE facility is great at NXT, and her daughter loves the wrestling business and had all praise for her. He mentioned that it is great today and that the women’s wrestling industry has been spectacular.

“The WWE has a great training facility at NXT. So she’s in it, she loves the wrestling business, and I’m very proud of her. It’s awesome, and you know what’s great is that where we are today, and the impact that women’s wrestling has had on that industry today, is really spectacular compared to twenty years ago.”

Johnson’s daughter Simone Johnson will follow in her father’s footsteps and have signed a contract with WWE in 2020.

The Rock was nervous while making the transition from wrestling to acting 

In the podcast, The Brahma Bull mentioned that he was nervous while transitioning from WWE to movies during The Scorpion King. He also noted that the rest of the film also wasn’t making any money.

“I was nervous, because at that time, when I made the transition to Hollywood after The Scorpion King, the rest of the movies I was doing at that time, they weren’t making any money. They were okay movies; at time they had a B movie feel to them.”

Red Notice is the new movie of The Rock which also starred Gal Gaddot and Ryan Reynolds. The movie is released today only on Netflix.
