Further, the Olympic Champion also had drinking problems and had four DUI’s in the span of five years.

He checked himself into rehab a few years back but has been clean since 2013. Angle also started his own initiative, Anglestrong, to help those who are recovering.

Angle thanked all those who supported him throughout the years and even joked about what he was drinking from the mug.

The Rock, one of Angle’s biggest rivals from their WWE days, was one of the first to congratulate him.

The former WWE Champion and current movie star added that he was proud of Angle and wanted his rival to “enjoy his milk”.

The Gold Medallist is certainly one of the greatest WWE stars of all-time. He transitioned from Olympic Wrestling to the WWE and had some of the greatest matches in the history of wrestling too.

Angle was one of the stars who was released by WWE in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, Angle was offered a job recently. He was one of the few who spoke about Matt Riddle vs Timothy Thatcher in a Cage fight on NXT.

Angle then revealed that he was offered the role of Riddle’s manager by WWE. However, Angle declined the offer.

He confirmed that he was keen on doing the role but there were many other reasons why he didn’t take up the job.

Nevertheless, Angle is winning one of the toughest battles anyone faces, addiction. And that is enough cause to celebrate.
