Scott Hall passed away recently, leaving the wrestling world in shock
The Rock posted a heartfelt tribute for Scott Hall and lauded the WWE legend for being one of the best in the business.
Hall, who will be remembered for being part of the New World Order, passed away on 14 March after being put on life support.
Hall, who was also known as Razor Ramon, was one of the most gifted athletes in wrestling, despite his size. He formed a great tag team with Kevin Nash and was a huge attraction for both WWE and WCW.
The 63-year-old did face off with The Rock during their SmackDown days, and The Brahma Bull shared some footage from their match.
This would have been in the early 2000s, and The Rock had a lot to say about Ramon.
“Pro wrestling just lost a legend in Scott Hall.
“Scott came from an era of pro wrestling where wrestlers were the biggest and toughest men on the planet.
“Scott was a big man who was athletically gifted.
“Tough as hell.
“And inside that ring he was an extraordinarily talented and intense athlete.”
The Rock learned from Scott Hall
Hall is a two-time WWE Hall of Fame, and suffice to say, he was an inspiration to many in the wrestling ring.
The Rock continued in his Instagram post and brought up how he would learn the art from Hall.
“Before my match here with Scott, I made sure to tell him how much his in ring work influenced me. When I was a rookie in wrestling, I would study Scott’s matches. His style, intensity, crispness and his excellent in ring IQ and psychology
“I studied his matches, frame by frame”
The Rock ended by bringing up how the pair were from different eras, and added that it was an “honor” to be part of the ring with Hall.
Many WWE stars also posted the tributes to Hall and this week’s Raw also started with a tribute to the Hall of Famer.
WWE has lost another star, but this Bad Guy will forever be remembered for being one of the best in the business.
