The Undertaker would’ve become a basketball player or joined the armed forces if wrestling did not work out
It is hard to imagine WWE or pro-wrestling without The Undertaker. He is arguably the most famous performer in the history of the business and is known worldwide for his legendary career. The dead man made his debut back in 1990 and performed for almost three decades.
However, we might have seen him somewhere else if wrestling did not work out for him. While recently talking to the Dallas Morning News, the Undertaker opened up on his alternative career options if wrestling failed. He said:
“It probably would have been the military. Like I said, I’ve always been one to really know what my strengths, my weaknesses, my capabilities are and aren’t. I doubt if I would have had a very long run in European pro basketball, but I do see myself if I had to join the armed forces I probably would have been a career guy.”
He talks about how he thinks he could’ve played professional basketball, however, feels like it wouldn’t have been a very long run. The Undertaker further adds that he would have probably joined the armed forces.
Why does the Undertaker wishes to have served for the country?
The Undertaker belongs to a family who have served the U.S. for years. He even opened up on how he wishes to have served for the country as well. The former WWE superstar said:
“I just feel like in my heart – my father served in the Navy in World War II, I have two brothers that served in Vietnam, I’ve got a brother that’s a retired Houston police officer. There’s a lot of service members in my family. Everything worked out, I guess, the way it’s supposed to work out”
The Undertaker talked about how so many people from his family have served the nation is different aspects. This is what makes him wish to have served for the country as well.
