The Undertaker draws a comparison between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns
The legendary Undertaker is going to be inducted into the Hall of Fame Class of 2022. In an interview for WWE, he gave his take on the two super athletes of modern-day wrestling. The WWE champion Brock Lesnar will take on the Universal champion Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 38 in a title versus title, championship unification match.
“Brock has a completely different aura to him” – The Undertaker
The Undertaker has been in the ring with Brock Lesnar on six different occasions. They had quite the rivalry and The Phenom knows exactly what Brock brings to the table.
The Undertaker reckons Brock’s crossover from WWE to MMA and back again to WWE is one of the reasons why the Beast incarnate has a different aura to him than most other superstars.
“Brock has just a completely different aura to him than most talent. Some of it I think has to do with this crossover from MMA and then back into the wrestling world.”
The Undertaker gave a taste of what’s in store for Roman as he faces a seething Brock Lesnar. ‘The Dead Man’ warned that when Brock enters the ring, the opponent must be ready for a grueling battle. ‘Taker admitted that the current WWE champion was able to do things to him that most other wrestlers couldn’t. According to The Undertaker, this was because of the physical strength that Brock had.
“Which you know, with Brock you’re about to be in a really physical match. He was able to do things to me physically that most guys haven’t been able to do. Just that strong guy and has that, just that different kind of presence.”
Physical and brutal were some adjectives that he used to describe Brock.
Speaking on the face persona of Brock Lesnar which is being loved by fans The Undertaker said:
“On a personal aspect of happy Brock, it’s cool to see that he is having fun. I mean, to get that much personality out of Brock, you can tell that he’s having fun with what he’s doing. But at ding, ding, ding, Brock is Brock. Somebody is gonna get a suplex. You can count on the sun rising and the sun setting and you can count on Brock suplexing someone… Really rough.”
“I’m really proud of Roman for the work that he has put in,” – The Undertaker
The Undertaker heaped a lot of praise on The Head of The Table – Roman Reigns. The Undertaker faced Roman at WrestleMania 33.
‘Taker said Roman “exudes confidence” and when they face each other, Roman was on his way up the ladder in his quest to become a top superstar in WWE.
“Roman, man he just exudes such confidence, when I wrestled Roman, he was on the rise and ascending to where he is now.”
Comparing Roman’s demeanor to Brock he noted that the Universal champion is a tad calmer yet there’s no shortage of energy or charisma.
“A much, I don’t know, a calmer demeanor, but still tons of energy, tons of charisma. Other than the L’s I took, I really enjoyed working”
The 56-year-old enjoys watching someone of Roman’s size move as swiftly as he does.
“It’s really entertaining to see guys that size be able to move the way they can. be able to do the things that they can.”
While The Undertaker described Brock as physical and brutal, he denoted words like calculated, explosive, and athletic.
“To have the title for that long, means you’re putting a**es in seats, which is priority one. It’s a testament to his presentation of what he’s doing that it’s working because if it wasn’t that title reign wouldn’t be nearly as long as it has been.
“I am really proud of Roman for the work he has put in, it’s really a testament to his passion for this business and his desire.”
