Thea Trinidad made a shock return to the WWE after spending a brief period out of the promotion
Thea Trinidad aka Zelina Vega returned to the WWE after being almost 8 months out from the promotion.
Trinidad was released from the promotion on the 13th of November. It was initially revealed that it was her tweet in support of unionization that triggered her release.
However, it was confirmed later that Trinidad’s opposition to WWE “requiring talents to acquiesce control” was the reason for her release; particularly on the third-party platform Twitch.
Earlier this year, in the month of May, Fightful Select reported that Trinidad might return to the promotion after she was spotted at the WWE Performance Center.
Unfortunately, a month later, her husband and fellow wrestler Aleister Black was released from the WWE.
With her husband out, she is back again in the promotion and it looks like the WWE has a lot of things in store for her.
Soon after Trinidad’s return as Vega, it was announced that she would be competing in the 2021 Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match.
She was interrupted by Liv Morgan which eventually led to her in-ring return. Vega ended up on the losing side.
Following her match, Trinidad revealed that grand plans were in store for her. She sounded determined to get the W at the 2021 Money in the Bank.
Her tweet read:
“What to take from tonight: I’m back. I’m going to be in the MITB ladder match. ..and I will win. Period. Everything else is irrelevant.”
