Edge given stern warning by Jey Uso ahead of match on WWE SmackDown
WWE Superstar Jey Uso has sent out a warning to Edge ahead of their contest in the upcoming edition of SmackDown later this week.
Having won the WWE Royal Rumble 2021, the Rated-R Superstar is set to challenge Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 37 for the Universal Championship.
Before that though, there is the small matter of Reigns clashing with Daniel Bryan for the Championship gold at WWE Fastlane this coming Sunday.
On last week’s SmackDown, the contract signing segment between Reigns and Bryan saw Uso getting worked up after his defeat to the latter in the steel cage match a week prior to that was brought up.
Feeling insulted, “Main Event” Jey Uso demanded to be inserted as the ‘Special Enforcer’ for the title bout between Reigns and Bryan. Edge, though, had different ideas.
The Ultimate Opportunist went on to set up a match with the Right Hand Man of the Head of the Table this week to decide who will be the Special Enforcer at WWE Fastlane.
Uso’s message to Edge ahead of their battle on SmackDown
Friday night will be the first time Edge will wrestle on SmackDown in ten years. The last time he fought on WWE’s Blue Brand was in March 2011, when he defeated a certain Drew McIntyre.
Taking to Twitter ahead of the big occasion, Edge sent out a message to Uso, telling him to buckle up for a rough ride. In response, Reigns’ Right Hand Man said it was an honour to be involved in the match but also warned the Rated-R Superstar.
Edge, since returning from an injury earlier this year, has been hitting all the right notes. The Ultimate Opportunist going up against Uso, who has been constantly putting up some top-notch matches since aligning with Reigns, promises to be an eye-catching event.
Not only does this further the feud between Edge and Reigns, this also fuels a potential rivalry between the Rated-R Superstar and Daniel Bryan, which could lead to something special down the line.
WWE seems to be getting things right on the money with this one, as things stand.
