WWE reportedly planning title change after Roman Reigns creates new faction wit The Usos
Roman Reigns has been running over anyone and everyone in his sight. His dominance is unquestionable with him not losing on SmackDown via pinfall in almost 18 months.
And he has been doing all of this with Paul Heyman and Jey Uso by his side. But things looked like they needed shaking up with Jimmy Uso making a comeback last week on the throwback episode of WWE SmackDown.
WARNING: SPOLIERS AHEAD
And now, Wrestling News (h/t Ringside News) has revealed what WWE are exactly planning to do with Reigns and The Usos.
The three are, of course, related in real life and WWE reportedly wants to add Jimmy Uso to Reigns’ faction and make him and Jey Uso win the SmackDown tag team title against a pair of faces.
The timescale for this hasn’t been given but it seems like it would (or at least, should) happen right off the bat, with Reigns also needing a little freshness in his storylines.
The plan clearly is to make up a gold-laden faction by handing titles to The Usos. The tag team title in the Blue brand currently lies with Dolph Ziggler and Bobby Roode.
It seems likely that the title will change hands once before The Usos could capture it. But things are not that easy.
Jimmy Uso would be hesitant in accepting Reigns’ supremacy and that could another dynamic to their group.
Reigns is himself the WWE Universal champion and hasn’t looked like losing even once despite being challenged by the likes of Edge, Daniel Bryan, and Kevin Owens.
And with The Usos by his side, we could be in for months, if not years of domination. We would hope that’s not the case though, at least for too long.
