In WWE’s latest Live event which took place in Newcastle, England, the top rope snapped during a match involving Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley with Sami Zayn at ringside.
A video was released on social media where Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre were in the middle of the ring, involved in a brawl. Lashley had Drew upon his shoulder and was most likely looking for a power slam but the Scottish Warrior slipped out.
Drew pushed Lashley into the ropes as the Almighty rebounded and tried a clothesline that the former NXT Champion evaded and was looking for the Claymore it seemed but Lashley hit the ropes and the top one snapped. Lashley fell onto the floor in a very awkward way and this took both Sami and Drew by surprise.
However, the fan who had posted the video said that Lashley is “reportedly fine” which comes as a big relief as the two-time WWE Champion just returned before WrestleMania 38 after recovering from an injury.
In the video, Zayn seemed to check on Lashley on the outside and maybe after getting a positive response tossed him back into the ring.
What’s in store for Drew McIntyre, Sami Zayn, and Bobby Lashley in the near future?
In the following segment, we will take a look at what Drew McIntyre, Sami Zayn, and Bobby Lashley have in line as WrestleMania Backlash is almost upon us.
After losing to Jackass star Johnny Knoxville at WrestleMania 38, Zayn has picked a fight with McIntyre. Zayn ran away in the middle of his matches against Drew on a couple of occasions on SmackDown. Last week, he faced Drew in a Lumberjack match but as the lumberjacks were involved in a scuffle of their own, he escaped.
This week on SmackDown, he will face Drew in a Steel Cage match. It seems that the feud will go on till WrestleMania Backlash. After that, Drew is reportedly going to have a feud with the Tribal Chief in a quest to win his third world championship in WWE.
As for Bobby Lashley, he defeated Omos at WrestleMania 38, but on the RAW after WrestleMania, MVP betrayed his former Hurt Business partner. Lashley will once again take on Omos at WrestleMania Backlash but this time the Colossus will have MVP in his corner.
