Torrie Wilson wasn’t allowed to mention Sable’s name in her HOF speech

Torrie Wilson was one of the most popular WWE superstars during her time. She was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2019.

Torrie Wilson recently did a virtual signing hosted by The Asylum Wrestling Store. During the signing, the 46-year-old revealed that she was forbidden from mentioning Sable’s name in her Hall of Fame induction speech. Wilson also jokingly told the fans that if they want an autograph from Sable, they need to go to Timbuktu in Minnesota.

Wilson said during her signing:

“You’re not even allowed to mention her [Sable] name on… she was — I mentioned her name in my Hall of Fame speech and right before, they told me, ‘Oh, by the way, you’re not allowed to mention her name. Good luck seeing her. You’re gonna have to go up Timbuktu in Minnesota [to get Sable’s autograph]”

Wilson and Sable were the first WWE Divas to pose in Playboy together in 2004. WWE would bring that angle into their storyline feud with Stacy Keibler and Miss Jackie. Keibler and Jackie were jealous that they were not on the cover of Playboy instead of Sable and Torrie. After weeks of rivalry, Sable and Torrie triumphed against Keibler and Jackie at WrestleMania 20.

Sable’s last appearance in WWE was when she accompanied Eddie Guerrero to the ring in his lowrider along with Dawn Marie and Torrie Wilson. This was on August 5, 2004, episode of SmackDown.
