Triple H congratulates Bronson Reed after NXT NA title win on Tuesday night
WWE NXT founder Triple H makes sure to dish out personal congratulatory messages to NXT stars on social media whenever they’re doing well.
And Bronson Reed was doing more than well this Tuesday night after having an impressive few weeks. The Australian took on Johnny Gargano for the NXT North American Championship.
This was a high-profile rematch of Reed’s failed attempt to take the title from Gargano a month back at NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver.
But this time around, Reed was victorious inside the steel cage. This also marks the first title that Reed has won with the promotion.
After his win, he even brought his wife, Paige, into the ring to deliver a rousing speech about perseverance and how his wife stood by his side even when he had money in his bank account.
What next for Bronson Reed after NXT NA title win?
And congratulating him after the match was Triple H himself, who took to Twitter and wrote how Reed’s win was 14 years in the making. It read:
“You don’t always see the struggles or the setbacks but tonight we saw a 14 year journey punctuated by @bronsonreedwwe becoming the NEW #NXTNATitle Champion. Congratulations to the #COLOSSAL!!! #AndNew#ThePoint#WWENXT“
It will be interesting to see what awaits Reed now. Gargano, the first NXT triple crown winner and three-time NXT NA champion, has been finally dismantled by Reed.
But now, it seems like Isaiah ‘Swerve’ Scott might be gunning for the belt. Before the steel cage match, The Hit Row member stated that he would come for the NA title no matter who won in the steel cage match.
It remains to be seen what plans NXT have for Reed’s first title reign, but he will have no shortage of contenders for sure.
