Triple H congratulated Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski after their Super Bowl win with Tampa Bay Buccaneers
WWE superstar and board member Triple H announced that he had a gift for Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski after the duo’s Super Bowl win this weekend.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers cruised to a 31-9 win over Kansas Chiefs to cause an upset at Super Bowl LV. 43-year-old Tom Brady was the star of the show as he won the 7th ring of his career.
And, Hunter announced on Twitter that he would be sending over a custom-made WWE belt to the Bucs on the joyous occasion for the Tampa-based franchise.
The gorgeous custom belt features the Pewter Pirates’ logo, with the words ‘Super Bowl LV champions’ inscribed under it.
Triple H also cheekily tagged Rob Gronkowski and mentioned that the 31-year-old would “know what to do with it”.
Rob Gronkowski appeared on WWE in the past
This is because Gronk is familiar with the promotion. In fact, he has appeared on WWE in the past.
He made an appearance at WrestleMania 33 in Florida, where he helped his friend Mojo Rawley win the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
After that fight, Hunter even came out and said in an interview with Sports Illustrated that the tight end could have a future in WWE.
“Gronk has mentioned WWE before, that he loves it and said had so much fun doing it.”
Whether there is any truth to that remains to be seen. Nevertheless, it is a smart move by the promotion to cash in on the Bucs’ Super Bowl success.
This was only their second Super Bowl championship in their history, and the first since 2002. As for Tom Brady, he writes himself in the history books as he now has more rings than any other franchise itself, with 7 to his name.
