Renee Paquette reveals Triple H’s support for Jon Moxley after suffering injury
Former WWE broadcaster Renee Paquette has revealed that Triple H had assisted husband Jon Moxley after his move to AEW. Moxley left in 2019, after deciding not to renew a contract and not impressed with the creative aspect in WWE.
Now, it has emerged that WWE COO Triple H lent a helping hand to help Jon Moxley recover from a bad injury.
Speaking on her show Oral Sessions, Paquette revealed that Hunter would ask about Moxley even though he wasn’t a WWE star: (h/t WhatCulture)
“Even when Jon left, there were times when Hunter would pull me aside because Jon was injured coming back from NJPW, and Hunter kept checking in to make sure he was okay and if we needed anything, they would have been able to help him in any capacity. It was nice to know the olive branch was still extended and it wasn’t that heat-seeking thing that everyone thinks it is. We’ve all spent so much time together and nothing bad went down.”
Moxley suffered a MRSA staph infection and had to undergo surgery in August 2019. After his release, his wife still stayed on with WWE before leaving in August 2020.
Moxley who is now in AEW, is one of the faces of the new promotion after Kenny Omega. He was one of the biggest stars in WWE, when he made his debut as part of the S.H.I.E.L.D. His character of the ‘Lunatic’ got him many plaudits and he went on to win many titles in the company.
He is Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s 2020 Wrestler of the Year and was Sports Illustrated’s 2019 Wrestler of the Year. He is a former WWE Grand Slam Champion, holding all WWE titles at least once, an IWGP Champion, and AEW World Champion.
Moxley and Paquette now have a child together called Alexis, and have been a power couple in the wrestling business over the last few years. He will be waiting for a return after taking a hiatus for the birth of his first daughter and will aim for the gold, again.
