WWE NXT had a huge six-man tag match to end the evening as the OC ‘invaded’ the brand.
AJ Styles, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson faced off against Tommaso Ciampa, Keith Lee and Matt Riddle.
The match involved a lot of super spots as both sets of stars showcased their arsenal.
Styles was especially impressive but Anderson and Gallows did their bit for the invaders too.
This was just the latest in a fight between the three major WWE brands as Survivor Series beckons.
Triple H started the invasion angle by taking a host of NXT stars to SmackDown and attacking the Blue brand’s stars.
Adam Cole main-evented that SmackDown as he defeated Daniel Bryan to keep his NXT title.
Lee and Riddle also attacked some stars in between, and on the following Raw, Seth Rollins faced Cole for the NXT title too.
That match descended into chaos as wrestlers from Raw and NXT fought each other with Triple H on Cole’s side on both nights.
Triple H impressed by the OC
The Game is the head of talent at the WWE but he has sided with NXT for the upcoming Survivor Series.
The OC and Styles put up a great display on the night and Triple H had some great words to say to the trio.
Hunter shared his respect to the trio and claimed they “tore the place down” too.
Styles proved just why he holds the US title while Anderson and Gallows won the Best Tag Team in the World Challenge at Crown Jewel.
Gallows and Anderson have always been great workers and turning Styles heel to reform the OC seems to have worked like a charm so far.
However, this match too had a chaotic end with a couple of surprises.
Finn Balor and Cole make an appearance
Balor shocked the WWE Universe by returning to NXT and turning heel.
The former Universal champion again interrupted this match as he distracted Ciampa. Styles and Balor also hinted at an incredible Bullet Club reunion.
The US champion was about to hit the Styles Clash, however, Cole came out of nowhere to Super Kick the champ.
If that wasn’t bad enough, Cole kicked a lowly Ciampa on the back of the head, signifying their feud for the upcoming NXT WarGames special.
The Undisputed Era (Cole, Bobby Fish, Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong) face off against Ciampa, Lee, Riddle and another star who is to be announced.
The triple brand madness will take its next turn in the upcoming episode of SmackDown.
Cole has already done a lot of damage during a couple of appearances at the other brands, and it will be interesting to see how things develop in the upcoming show.
