Mansoor makes WWE RAW debut and gets straight into the title frame
Adam Pearce, in a backstage segment, welcomed Mansoor to the Red brand after the wrestler’s impressive showings in WWE Main Event and 205.
Born in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, he is the first Saudi wrestler to be signed by WWE and has been with the promotion since 2018.
His NXT debut came in 2018 but he has been working 205 and Main Event in the past few months. He was used a lot by the company for his shows in Saudi Arabia.
Mansoor was handed wins in a 51-man Battle Royal at Super ShowDown, and then against Cesaro at Crown Jewel, with both events taking place in his home country.
Not just that, but he also has a 49-match winning streak right now which consists of singles as well as tag team matches.
Mansoor faced Sheamus on his WWE RAW debut
While Pearce and Mansoor while conversing backstage, Sheamus interrupted them and asked the Saudi wrestler to respond to his open challenge for the United States title.
That did happen but before the match could reach a conclusion, Humberto Carrillo attacked ‘The Celtic Warrior’ to keep their recent rivalry alive.
The match then got ended as a disqualification and the belt remained with the Irishman. And Triple H was on hand to praise his NXT product on his first match amongst the big boys.
But it seems like Mansoor is straightaway being thrown in the title picture. There is also a possibility that WWE does something with his streak as they did with Drew McIntyre in his first run or with The Undertaker at WrestleMania.
Although it won’t be 1/100th legendary as the latter, it can make for an interesting storyline for the 25-year-old. But that can only happen if WWE decides to overturn his DQ loss to a no contest.
And they just might, or at least should, considering this was too long a streak to end without ever once hyping it up on the main roster.
